I commend the Haraya Dream Team – TJ, Jackie, Lea and Cecilia for leading our Kuysen Way of Service Workshop last June 2018.
Working with Haraya is a delight because they partner with you in understanding your company’s needs before recommending a customized approach to take. In our case, we want more role-playing so Haraya created the workshop in which role-playing was almost 60% of total workshop hours.
The concepts shared like TEA time and SBI are relevant and helpful reminders as we do our daily work of delighting consumers. On what those acronyms stand for, I highly recommend you take their Service workshops in order to know.
What sets Haraya apart is that they do follow-through after the workshops to ensure the implementation of what was learned through one-on-one coaching with Team leaders and group coaching for teams. To date, I have been receiving good feedback from Managers on these coaching sessions. I am excited and confident with what the future holds for Kuysen because I know that we are powered by Haraya Coaching!
The Coach Masters Academy: Transformative Coaching Program that Haraya Coaching brought to the Philippines has given me the opportunity and drive to combine my professional interests: career consulting, training and development.
Their revolutionary approach allows me to help professionals match their strengths, talents and values with their current job, performance and goals. The program goes beyond the classroom setting, incorporating technology and real-life coaching experiences It opens your perspective to a wide range of coaching opportunities.
Haraya Coaching offers more than training programs, they are a development partner.
Being a self-aware individual and a coach myself, I thought that I was okay and I could manage on my own. I was wrong. It’s true that everybody needs a coach.
Cecilia, from Haraya Coaching, has helped me confront all my fears, realities and struggles face-to-face and come up with challenging yet realistic action steps. I remember after our very first session, I felt like a HUGE burden was lifted off my shoulders… a burden I’ve been carrying with me for the past months, and some probably even for years. She always has a very welcoming presence that makes me feel comfortable even telling her my deepest darkest fears and hurts. She has definitely helped me (and still is) helping me to move forward, open new doors, and embrace life.
Through Transformative Coaching, I’ve seen how coaching discussions in the workplace can go beyond improving skills and behaviors, and change mindsets and attitudes too. Leaders and employees are empowered to rise above pressures and challenges, helping to sustain their engagement and productivity. A worthwhile investment of time, money and effort.
Haraya has helped me improve my work-life balance through careful and guided introspection with the help of Coach Lea.
I feel very inspired, spending our time with the people from Haraya Coaching early this morning. This is my first time meeting them but will definitely come and join to see and be inspired again from the workshop they provide. I love Haraya Coaching! Thank you Ms. Lea, Ms. Cecilia and Ms. Abi!
I was mind blown by the first meeting. It was a getting-to-know phase. I told Coach Lea about my situation and she had me thinking why I do what I do. She shared me a story like this:
Construction Site
Okay, so there were these three men that worked at a construction site. Well, one day they sat down and opened their lunch.
The African guy opened up his lunch and got grits. He said that if he got rice again tomorrow that he was going to jump off the building.
The Mexican opened up his lunch and got a burrito. He said that if he gets a burrito again tomorrow that he was going to jump off the building also.
The blonde opened up his lunch and he got chicken. He said that if he got chicken tomorrow that he was going to jump off the building too.
Well, the next day the African guy opened up his lunch and he got grits again so he jumped. The Mexican opened up his and he got a burrito again so he jumped. The Blonde opened up his and he got chicken again so he jumped.
At their funeral, the African’s wife said: “If I would have known he didn’t want grits I would have packed something different”. The Mexican’s wife said, “If I would have known he didn’t want a burrito I would have packed him something different”.
The Blonde’s wife looked up and said: “Don’t look at me, he packs his own lunch.”

I got chills after hearing this. I was shocked later when I searched for this online and found out that it was tagged to be a joke.
The lesson for me in this was that if we are packing our own lunch (doing things in our control), why do we choose to do it even if it makes us feel negative. I was also asked the reason why I’m doing these things. I know my purpose for all these. I was told by Coach Lea that maybe I should revisit why I do what I do or change what I do.
I was always asked what makes me happy. Then I remember about hiking mountains and running. I lost being active. That is one of the things that I should give myself back.
I have learned a lot just by reading books but having a life coach is different. It was a different perspective crafted for my current situation. After 6 sessions, I was used to being asked how my life is going and evaluating myself as a person who wants to achieve his goals.
I was not given methods on how to make things better. I got that from books. What Coach Lea gave me is open different perspectives. Asking the right questions to make me think things through.
I want to be a coach too. I want to help people be better at what they do.
This is one of the experiences that would have a great impact on my life.
I’ve really enjoyed my coaching training with Jackie and Cecilia! I had no clear idea on what coaching was before and I’m very happy now because I started to do some coaching at work after getting trained! Jackie and Cecilia’s positive demeanor, ability to give kind feedback, fun, energy and joy really helped me to learn a lot about how to have deep conversations and about human relationships in general. I definitely recommend getting trained with them!
The one-on-one coaching helped me understand how powerful mindset towards achieving our goals and having a better outlook in life. I was once a timid and inferior young professional who easily gets discouraged and intimidated by my more experienced colleagues. Whenever things did not pan out the way I want it, I felt depressed and anxious because I got to see people who did the same work and succeed. My self-esteem was at an all-time low. I hated the feeling that I was not as good as them. I was slowly detaching myself from the work environment I was into. But with Haraya Coaching, my coach, Coach Jackie, taught me how to properly deal with stress at work by providing tips on how to handle it and, more importantly, by shifting the perspective that would help me understand the situation with clarity. She provided systematic approach per issue we discussed. She made me realize that everything can be dealt with for as long as you have a strong mindset. Week per week, session per session, Coach Jackie guided me on how to overcome the hurdles and doubts. And as weeks progressed, I saw a difference on how I view my colleagues and my work. I achieved my goals – one target after another. I was slowly getting my groove at work and I became confident to face any challenge. I did not even notice that I was even helping my colleagues change their views towards the hardships thrown at them. In a short span of time, I felt that 180-degree change within me. I am truly elated to be part of this coaching experience. I will forever use what I have learned to lead and inspire my colleagues and my family and friends. At the end of the day, if we will always have the right mindset, we can do anything. Thank you, Haraya Coaching for helping me be the best version of myself!
